Tara Talvacchia, Senior Consultant

With a background in the intersection of international development and technology, Tara specializes in the use of digital health in low-resource settings. She has mobilized and supported deployment of almost $15 million in funds for and provided strategic input to a portfolio of mobile health programs over the past ten years. In previous positions at Danish non-profit Maternity Foundation, Tara managed partnerships, led organizational strategy, and fundraising which contributed to the scale and reach of the Safe Delivery App to over 300,000 skilled birth attendants globally. At the Mobile Alliance for Maternal Action (MAMA) Tara led support to a community of practice and was responsible for facilitating global learning among a group of implementers from 300 in over 70 countries. Tara holds a master’s degree in international development from Georgetown University, with a regional focus on Latin America. She speaks Spanish and lives in Bogota, Colombia with her family.
